Three men, who allegedly locked up a prostitute inside a hotel room, prompting her to try to escape and consequently fall to her death, were charged in court on Sunday. The three Uzbek men - aged 24, 31 and 35 - had brought the Arab prostitute to their hotel room where they later disagreed on the money. They assaulted the victim and stole Dh2, from her. After they confined her she tried to climb into another balcony but her foot slipped and fell to death.
They were charged at the Court of First Instance with illegal confinement of the victim that led to her death, theft, illicit consensual sex and consuming alcohol without a licence. The incident took place on November 11, , and was reported to Al Qusais police station. Dust on her clothes and her missing shoe suggested she had tried to climb her way to another balcony at the third floor of the hotel where she was found," a police captain said.
Those three men confessed that after having sex with her, they would not let her leave because it was not midnight yet.
Circumstances led us to believe that the victim had been held up against her will and tried to escape through the balcony while two of the accused were in the room. The CCTV cameras caught them running away from the hotel right after the victim's fall.
We arrested him after learning that the room had been rented by him. We checked the surveillance cameras and saw that the accused had come to the hotel with the victim," a police major said.
